"A hero is a person who courageously contributes under even the most trying circumstances; a hero is an individual who acts unselfishly and who demands more from himself or herself than others would expect; a hero is a man or woman who defies adversity by doing what he or she believes is right in spite of fear.” ~ Tony Robbins

The Call to the Inner Warrior: Answering the Call
The Legacy of Courage, Compassion, and Love
My journey into spiritual resilience has been deeply intertwined with my family’s history. My father, along with his parents—my grandfather and grandmother—immigrated to Canada from Luviv, Ukraine in 1938, just before World War II. They fled amidst the invasions of the Gestapo and the horrors of Hitler’s war, seeking freedom, safety, and a new beginning. With immense love, courage, protection and resilience, they built a life in Canada.
When I was born, my grandfather had passed shortly afterwards, and I was raised by my parents and grandmother. My mother, a french Canadian, shared a deep and unwavering love with my father, and their dedication our family was truly remarkable. As they aged, I became their caregiver, supporting them through their battles with illness, including cancer. It was during this time that I truly came to understand the depth of humanity, the power of compassion, and the courage required to face death. Walking this path with them was both a sacred act of love (providing care, dignity, respect), and a profound awakening—one that strengthened my heart and solidified my understanding of love as the most powerful foundation of all.
Early in 2011, after deaths of my mother, preceded by father and grandmother, all within a year, I found myself drawn to stories of heroism, justice and resilience. I resonated deeply with the hero's journey of Captain America: The First Avenger (Marvel 2011) a cinematic tale representing the best in all of us, rising above with honour, bravery and sacrifice. Quote: "Good becomes great. Bad becomes worse. A strong man who has known power all his life can lose respect for that power, but a weak man knows the value of strength, and knows compassion."
As I began my own spiritual journey, finally answered the call of truth seeking to empower myself after enduring narcissistic abuse within my family and my children's lives. I also began to delve into history of our world, ancestors, their wars and religion. The ongoing war erupted in 2022 between Russia and Ukraine became yet another reminder of resilience, hope, and strength. It was during this time that I began exploring the guidance and presence of angels, particularly Archangel Michael.
Through it all, I have learned one undeniable truth: above all else, our foundation is love and compassion. Love gives us the courage to face challenges, while compassion deepens our understanding and connection. Together, they grant us the strength to persevere and the resilience to rise again. This is the legacy my ancestors left behind, and it is the force that continues to guide me forward.
Archangel Michael: The Protector and Warrior
Archangel Michael, often depicted as a warrior of light, carries a powerful presence of protection, justice, and divine strength. He stands as a guardian for those who call upon him, wielding his sword against forces of darkness and oppression. In times of struggle, fear, or uncertainty, his energy serves as a beacon of courage and resilience.
For Ukraine, Archangel Michael has long been a symbol of protection. The golden-winged statue of Michael in Kyiv’s Independence Square is not just a monument; it is a testament to the enduring spirit of the Ukrainian people. When war and hardship strike, many turn to him for guidance and strength, a divine faith that he fights alongside them, just as he has throughout history. The recent testimonies of people witnessing luminous angels over the land of Ukraine only reaffirm this belief.
The Call to the Inner Warrior
As I reflect on my own lineage and the trials my ancestors endured, I feel the presence of Archangel Michael guiding me toward my own inner warrior. His message is clear: to stand strong in the face of adversity, to protect the light within, and to embrace the power of resilience. The battles may not always be physical; they are often internal, spiritual, and emotional. Yet, just as my family built a life of freedom with courage and devotion, I too am called to walk this path of spiritual empowerment and healing.
This is my call to answer—the call to strength, protection, and unwavering faith. Through meditation, spiritual development, and the guidance of the angels, I continue to step forward, embracing the transformation that has been set in motion. Just as Ukraine calls upon Archangel Michael in times of need, I too call upon him as I navigate my own journey of healing and purpose.
The story of resilience is never just about one person—it is about the collective strength of generations, the unseen forces that guide us, and the ever-present light that reminds us: we are never alone in our battles. And at the heart of it all, the truest force remains—love.
Love and Light,
